New Wines for March Release

Spring is beginning to stir in the vineyard, and with it comes one of our favorite traditions, sharing a new collection of wines with our club members. This release features two bold reds and our all-time bestselling white wine, each offering its own distinctive personality and sense of place.

From the structured power of Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon to the seductive charm of our S&M blend and the easygoing appeal of Nauti Buoy, this may be one of our favorite club shipments yet.

2022 Cabernet Sauvignon

Red Mountain AVA

Meticulously crafted and aged in 37.5% new French oak, our 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon was bottled in 2024 after careful élevage.

The 2022 growing season in Washington was nothing short of remarkable. A cold April delayed bud break and tested growers' patience, but a record-breaking warm and dry October delivered the extended hang time needed for full, even ripening.

Sourced from Kiona Winery's acclaimed Heart of the Hill Vineyard—named Vineyard of the Year by Seattle Magazine in 2019—this Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the structure, concentration, and depth that have made Red Mountain one of Washington's most celebrated wine regions.

Rather than leaning solely into dark, jammy fruit, however, this wine balances power with precision. Bright red fruit notes lift the palate while firm tannins provide a framework for long-term aging.

Drink now with a generous decant, or cellar through 2032.

2021 S & M

Lake Chelan AVA

Our seductive blend of Syrah and Malbec returns.

Grown on the sun-drenched north shore slopes of the Lake Chelan AVA, S & M is all about power and pleasure. Syrah brings bold spice, savory notes, and a touch of wildness, while Malbec contributes lush dark fruit and velvety richness.

The wine's intensity comes in part from our whole-berry fermentation approach. We skip the crushing step entirely, allowing extended skin contact to build color, texture, and complexity. The result is a wine that is dark, intense, and dangerously easy to love.

Hand-harvested, small-batch, and carefully blended for maximum enjoyment, this vintage is drinking beautifully right now. While it can certainly rest in your cellar for a few more years, we won't blame you if it never makes it that far.

Nauti Buoy White Wine

Lake Chelan AVA

Our bestselling white wine is back.

Nauti Buoy is crafted primarily from estate-grown, organically farmed Riesling (78%) with a touch of Marsanne (22%). Together they create a white blend that is bright, refreshing, and full of personality.

Look for aromas and flavors of crisp Anjou pear, melon, honey, and mineral, all carried by a lively citrus lift. Riesling keeps things energetic and fresh, while Marsanne steadies the boat with a supple, rounded texture.

Of course, Nauti Buoy has always been about more than what's inside the bottle. From the subtle innuendo hidden on the label (have you spotted it yet?) to the Mae West quote on the back—

"When he was good, he was very, very good… but when he was bad, he was better."

—this wine embodies the playful spirit that has always been part of Hard Row to Hoe.

Nauti Buoy pairs beautifully with spicy foods, fresh seafood, and bold flavors. But we think it pairs best with good company, laughter, and the soft echo of a rowboat cutting across Lake Chelan at dusk.
